Results of ASWA Longbow Flight Shoot held at Whiteman Park, Sunday 27 September 2009 

Only Longbows were shot. 

12 Archers participated in 20 divisions, similar to the last turnout. Conditions approx 7knot tail wind 

DOS for shooting was Paul Salmon. Shoot Flight Committee Paul Salmon (DOS and weights) and Graeme Broadbent 
(inspection and distance measurement). 

Longbows were inspected for compliance with FITA Rule 9.3 as per current AA rules. 

Longest arrows were measured in compliance with current AA flight rules 

As per current AA rules, both aluminium and wooden arrows were permitted, with feather fletches only. 

Bows were weighed using dead weight method at the measured arrow lengths, to the belly of the bow at the arrow rest. 

Weights for the various divisions were measured to + 0.02kg using scales calibrated at an ISO14001accredited laboratory facility. 

Distances shot were measured using a Sokkisha Total Stations, corrected for deviation from the marked centre line. 
Measurement accuracy + 5mm, Survey accuracy + 10mm, hence results are rounded down to nearest centimetre.

We believe that the 209.24m shot by Gail Gibson is eligible for Australian Records in the Womens 18kg and Unlimited classes.
