Black Stump Archery Supplies have an Indoor Range catering
for up to 20 Archers.
There is an organised shoot there every Tuesday
and Wednesday nights and all affiliated ASWA or AA archers are
welcome to attend.
The shoot is a FITA Indoor 18m (60 arrows) with
inner 10 scoring for compounds. Scoring starts at about 7pm and
you can practice before then if you like.
Cost is $10 and it is advisable to phone 9459 0700 to book your
place.
Or take your chances – we will be able to
accommodate you most of the time but if not you will still be
able to watch, listen and learn from other Archers.
Each month there is a league competition to find
the top shooters off the bow as well as on handicap. There are
three divisions: compound, recurve and longbow/barebow. Any
scores shot on Tuesday or Wednesday nights at Black Stump
Archery Supplies are eligible.
If someone shoots both Tuesday and Wednesday, only
their best score counts for that week. If there is a 5th week,
the best score shot in the 5th week can replace the worst
previous score. The average of the best three weeks scores is
used to calculate your place in the league for the off-the-bow
competition. The average for up to three best weeks scores is
used to calculate your handicap for the month which is then used
for the following month to calculate the handicap winner.

At the end of each shoot, we
have a special competition called the Black Stump Sheep
Stations Shoot Off. It's a one arrow shoot off, handicapped
on your score for the evening (eg a good shooter will have
to shoot a 10 with their first arrow and a beginner might
just have to get more than a 6). There are several rounds if
more than one person gets the required score. This is good
practice for shooting under pressure and also lots of fun.
